Outer Baduy Day Trek

For when you only have one day. You walk from Ciboleger through the Outer Baduy villages as far as Kaduketug, see women weaving, rice barns (leuit) and bamboo bridges, and head back in the afternoon. The more people in your group, the lower the price per person.

Itinerary

  1. 08.30Meet at Ciboleger bus terminal. Meet your guide and get a briefing on local customs.

  2. 09.00Start walking through the Ciboleger gate, Balingbing village and Kaduketug.

  3. 11.30Arrive at a villager's home for lunch. See weaving, rice barns and bamboo bridges.

  4. 13.00Free time. Buy weaving or honey straight from the makers, or bathe in the river (no soap).

  5. 14.30Walk back to Ciboleger.

  6. 16.00Arrive at Ciboleger. Minibus back to Rangkasbitung, arriving around 18.00.

Times may shift with weather and path conditions.

Notes

  • The price per person drops with the number of people in your group.
  • Photos are fine in Outer Baduy. Ask first if you want to photograph people up close.
